Annie Lau
Dr Annie Lau is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Health Informatics, Australian Institute of Health Innovation, University of New South Wales. She leads CHI’s research program in Consumer Health Informatics, which is the most active consumer informatics research program in Australia. This program seeks answers to questions on the ‘impact’, ‘design’, and ‘science’ of e-Health on patients and consumers, providing empirical evidence on how our health can be shaped by information communication technologies (ICT), and how we can best utilise ICT to assist patients and consumers utilise health services and manage their health. Dr Lau has qualifications in Health Informatics (PhD) and Software Engineering (Be [Hons I]). She also plays a lead role in the recently formed NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in e-Health.
