The Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA) has been focussing on promoting the value of the Credentialled Diabetes Educators (CDEs) in Australia as part of the strategic plan 2012-2017. ADEA has been undertaking research and working closely with different healthcare professionals to develop resources and promotional materials that highlight the value of diabetes education and CDEs. Some of the activities will be highlighted in this session, including how CDEs can utilise this information in their own practice.
